Privacy Policy
Effective July 10, 2026
Family OS is a private, invite-only family organizer operated by Gennady Chikaurov (AM Automations, Miami, FL). This policy explains what we store, why, and the choices you have. Contact: gennadymc@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your account email and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password in plain text), and the information your household chooses to enter: member names, colors, birthdays, chores and points, rewards, calendar events, school assignments, lists, meal plans, dietary preferences (including allergies), interests, and family goals. Hosting providers (Vercel, Supabase) keep standard technical logs such as IP addresses to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Solely to run Family OS for your household. Your data is visible only to members of your own household, enforced with row-level security in the database. We do not sell personal data, we show no advertising, and we do not use your data for cross-app tracking or marketing.
AI features
When a parent generates a weekly menu or activity ideas, the relevant details (dietary profiles, ages, interests, family goals, and your request) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the suggestions. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. AI output is stored in your household like any other content you create.
Google user data
If a parent connects Google Calendar, Family OS requests these scopes: your email address (to identify the connected account) and Google Calendar events (calendar.events). We use them for one purpose: two-way sync between your Google Calendar and your household's Family OS calendar — imported events are shown to your household, and events created in Family OS are mirrored to your Google Calendar. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are used only server-side. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to our hosting/database providers as necessary to operate the app; we do not use it for advertising; no humans read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law. Family OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect in the Family tab at any time (this deletes the stored tokens) and additionally revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
Family OS is designed for families. Children's profiles are created and managed by their parents; child accounts can only be created through a parent's invite link. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement, and we show no advertising to anyone.
Storage and security
Data lives in Supabase (Postgres) with per-household row-level security, served over HTTPS by Vercel. Calendar OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with a key held only in server configuration. Access to production systems is limited to the operator.
Retention and deletion
Your household's data is kept while the household is active. Disconnecting Google Calendar deletes its stored tokens immediately. To delete an account or an entire household permanently, email us and we will remove it promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the effective date. Questions: gennadymc@gmail.com.
